About Us

J.P. Saunders Registered Builder has been a family run business for 10 years.
James began his carpentry apprenticeship in February 1993 with a well established building company in Fairfield, where he learnt the carpentry trade as well as associated trades. As a fourth year apprentice he progressed to an onsite foreman where he learnt how to organise building jobs and run them. In 1997 he gained his carpentry credentials and stayed on with the company for another five years as a qualified carpenter and an onsite foreman.
In 2001, having the confidence and belief that you could run your own company, he decided to become a sole contractor and work for himself. While doing this he applied for his building licence and after 6 months of schooling he became a Registered Builder in 2003.
James employed an apprentice who has completed his apprenticeship and is still currently employed with the company as a qualified carpenter and an onsite foreman. We also currently employ 2 ongoing apprentices and also employ James' father as an electrical contractor which forms part of his business. All other contractors have been sourced through his local football club and have been friends with for a number of years.
